Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference 2024
During the summer of 2024, I participated in a five-day journalism conference in Washington, D.C. hosted by the Freedom Forum. This conference involved one rising senior from each of the 50 states and Washington, D.C. and focused on the tenets of "dream, dare, do". This unique experience allowed me to attend panels and speak with notable journalists and learn more about what it is like to pursue journalism as a career.
I have been able to apply the skills I learned through this program daily in journalism and have been able to share what I learned with my peers.
